And also, the Minister of Land, Transport and Maritime will be affair for this ceremony. In order to keep the historical meaning of this ground-breaking ceremony, VIP visitors’ register will be engraved on pottery and it’s going to be preserve permanently in the Ulsan KTX Station.110 billion KRW will be investing for Ulsan KTX Station. It will be located in 471 Shin-Hwa-Ri, Ulju-goon on 67,014㎡ of land space. The area of this building will be 8579㎡ with four floors above the ground and one floor under the ground. There will be two platforms and five lines and also 652 parking lots. The daily passengers who will use the Ulsan KTX Station expected as more than 10,000. Especially, thanks to the completion form of KTX 2nd level project, the passengers who will use KTX from Ulsan or Busan can alive at Seoul within two hours. In other world, people will be able to go anywhere in the country within a half-day.The Ulsan City planned to develop the surrounding area of the Ulsan KTX Station to build new urban function and balancing development between the regions. It is a plan to maximize the convenience of using transportation, to build connection transport network, and to develop west area as a central city in commercial, business, and art and cultural function sides.In the meantime, the 156 members of ‘Citizens Coalition for Ulsan Station Construction’ which established in 1997, and ‘Integrated Citizens’ Organization to attract Ulsan Station’ collected signatures from 420,000 people and went to Seoul to claim government agent relevantly, and the national assemble for construct the Ulsan KTX Station. Eventually, their efforts led government to decide to start constructs the Ulsan KTX Station in Nov.14, 2003
